Yes, the mother will be covered as it is a part of the maternity process and as per the policy terms maternity is covered and before delivery date if mother has any comlication due to maternity that hospitalization cost also be covered,Other treatments as may be required by the mother during the pregnancy period will be covered. The part about delivery of the baby and the costs therein will be under the maternity.
Diseases unrelated to maternity per se e.g COVID, dengue, Chickenguniya etc. can be paid outside the maternity limit. In case delivery of premature baby is required during the process, those costs will be limited to Maternity cappings as in the policy. Some diseases are not payable if mother suffers from them during pregnancy- they are – Fever, dehydration, jaundice, Kidney, Heart, BP, HTN, DM, Anaemia, Thyroid etc. which are related to incidence of maternity.
