There are differnce between deductible and Co payment,Deductible means a amount or limit which a insured person has to pay yourself for a medical treatment or hospitalization cost then insurance company will be cover the rest cost of the medical treatment within the decided sum insured, deductible amount is affects premium because of deuctible premium cost will be reduce,as much higher dedcutible amount will be there in the policy then lesser premium amount will have to be paid.Example:-If a insured person has a claim of rupees 1 lac and 30K deductible amount is there in the polcy then first 30K has to paid by the insured or patient and then rest 70K will be process under the helath insurance policy within the sum insured. Co payment : Co payment is a condition which insured agreed at the time of buy of a health insurance policy, if insured has agreed the co payment at the time of policy starts then co payment is mandatory to apply on the final payment and co payment will be deduct after insurance payablity decided or payable amount for a claim then co payment will be deduct.
